PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of scale to a water quality measuring device and the deterioration of the measuring accuracy of the water quality measuring device with elapse of time. SOLUTION: In an electrolytic water making apparatus, water is electrolyzed by an electrolytic cell to form alkaline water and acidic water. A changeover valve 6 changes over a flow passage so as to allow alkaline water and acidic water to selectively flow in a water quality measuring device 5 and allows acidic water to flow in the water quality measuring device 5 when the quality (pH value or the like) of alkaline water is not actually measured.
