PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely mask the part which has not been surface-treated by exerting a negative pressure on a member to be treated, a masking member and a gap between both members and chucking and masking the member to be treated by the deformation of the masking member at the same time. SOLUTION: One end and the other end of a roller member 1 are respectively inserted into a chucking and masking member 3 and a masking member 4. The air in the suction hole 6 of one-end flange face and attraction part 7 of one-end flange face is sucked from the suction slit 5 of one-end flange face of the chucking and masking member 3 and almost evacuated to attract the one-end flange face 14 of the roller member 1 and the attraction part 7 of the one-end flange face, and the roller member 1 is chucked. Further, the air in the suction hole 9 of one-end side face and the attraction part 10 of the roller side face is sucked from a suction slit 8 of one end and almost evacuated to attract the side face of the roller member 1 and the attraction part 10 of the roller side face, and one end of the roller member 1 is masked.
