PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a plain fiber-reinforced concrete layer at the start or arrival position of a shield machine, for which a vertical shaft can be constructed by the same procedure as that of an ordinary diaphragm wall. SOLUTION: A reinforcing bar cage 2 made in one united body with a steel frame 3 is built at the passing position of peripheral edge of a shield machine is built in an excavated hole 1 excavated surrounding ground E as a vertical shaft 10, then, fiber reinforced concrete FRC is poured in a space surrounded by a steel frame 3, at the same time, ordinary concrete C is poured around it and a concrete retaining wall is built, then inside surrounded by the concrete retaining wall is excavated and a vertical shaft is constructed.
