PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality antifogging film having a not excessive but suitable water absorptivity, undergoing little dimensional change upon water absorption, showing a good water absorptivity-water release balance in virtue of its ability to quickly release the absorbed water, therefore, not suffering from clouding and the deposition of spots from water drops even under high- temperature high-humidity conditions, resisting to deformations such as waviness, sagging, and localized uneven stiffening, scarcely raising problems such as water drop contamination and sliminess, having excellent heat resistance and moderate nerve, possessing the suitability for an antifogging film for e.g. an agricultural file, and being sufficiently practicable in respect of cost. SOLUTION: An antifogging thin layer 2 is formed on a base film 1. The layer 2 is a synthetic polymer/natural polymer composition layer made from a composition comprising a carboxyl-containing vinyl alcohol polymer and a carboxyl-containing natural polymer, and wherein the synthetic polymer/ natural polymer composition layer is crosslinked with polyvalent metal ions.
