PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely open and close a container body, to surely close the container body and a lid body, and to prevent a small animal from escaping. SOLUTION: A small animal storing box 11 is provided with a box-shaped container body 12 whose top part is opened, a lid body 13 covering the top part opening of the container body 12 and a connecting piece 14 for connecting rotatably the lid body 13 with the container body 12. In addition, when the lid body 13 is closed by being rotated, the outer face of the lid body 13 and the outer face of the container body are made to become approximately the same surface. In addition, the connecting parts between the container body 12 and the connecting piece 14 are constituted with inclined faces each other and the connecting parts between the connecting piece 14 and the lid body 13 are constituted with oblique faces each other and when the lid body 13 is closed by being rotated, the outer faces of the container body 12, the connecting piece 14 and the lid body 13 are made to become approximately the same surface.
