PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time of the whole work and to improve rice cooking work efficiency by performing the immersion of rice in both the rice washer and rice cooker. SOLUTION: At the time of performing first rice cooking work, after the prescribed quantity of measured rice is washed by a rice washer 4, the rice is immersed for a prescribed time and is discharged to an inner kettle 89 of a rice cooker 5 together with rice cooking water. Successively, the inner kettle 89 is covered with a cover 90, and the rice is immersed here for a residual time. And when the immersion is finished, rice cooking is started, and after a prescribed time, this rice cooking is finished. Successively, after the rice is allowed to steam for a prescribed time, the cover 90 is taken off and the inner kettle 89 in which the rice is put is taken out, and an empty kettle separately prepared is set and is made to stand by for the next rice cooking work. And after a prescribed time elapsed from the start of measurement, that is, when the rice discharge is finished, the measurement is started, and the prescribed quantity of rice is fed to the rice washer 4, and it is immersed for a prescribed time. Then similar work is performed, and here, when the immersion is performed in the rice washer 4, the rice washer 4 is moved to above the rice cooker 6.
