PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag with safety-notch which is easy to make and can be easily filled with contents, has satisfactory unsealability, causes no injuries to fingers during the handling of the bag, and is excellent in safety, and a method for producing the bag. SOLUTION: In the production of bags made in such a form that adjacent bags are connected via side heat-seal parts at the time of bag making, for example in the form of three-side seal, four-side seal, or standing pouch, the sides of the bags are sealed, and then indentations 9 for notches, each having a shape comprising a notch-base part of a home-base shape or the like on both sides and curved parts extending in the shapes of circular arcs from lines on both the sides toward the outside, are made in the specific parts of side heat-seal parts 6. Also, the corners of the top and bottom of each bag are curvedly cut, and the side of each bag is cut in two areas of the middle of each of the circular-arc-shaped curves on both the sides of the indentation 9, thereby obtaining the bag with the notchs whose outside corners have rounded shapes.
