PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side cover structure for motorcycles, thereby permitting easy attachment and detachment of the side cover. SOLUTION: A side cover is formed by assembling four segments 14A to 14D in the vehicle width direction. Out of the two segments 14B, 14C, one segment 14B is fixed to the body frame and the other segment 14C is mounted on the former 14B such that they are freely attached and detached. The segment 14C and the outer segment 14D adjacent thereto are fastened to each other, and the outer segment 14D is fastened to the body frame by bolt. Thereby, when the motorcycle is maintained or the like, removal only of the bolt fixing the outer segment 14D of the side cover to the body frame permits detachment of the outer segment 14D and the adjacent segment 14C integrally with respect to the other segments 14A, 14B. This assembly enables exposure of a large space around a battery and the like housed in the side cover.
