Process for compacting finely divided inorganic solids

The process involves using a fine particle solid substrate with an aqueous silanol solution which is formed by hydrolysis of a silane and separated using a mixing motion. The material contained in silanol solution is treated with an alkaline solution which is cross-linked on the substrate surface connected to the silane forming solid bonds. Agglomerates are formed from fine particle solids by a molding cycle or compounding granulation, before cross-linking reaction of the silane.
