An assembly in which a square or rectangular carton 10 with four corner pillars 14 - 17 is located on a pallet 11. Each pillar extends below the lower edges of the carton walls 18 - 21 and locates with a corresponding cut-out 12 in the corners of the pallet. The carton can be collapsed along crease lines 28, 29 in opposing walls 19, 21 and crease lines 33 in the base 30. The collapsed carton may be stored on the pallet (fig. 2) and covered with a lid 35 for return to the supplier. The pallet may be made of wood and the carton from cardboard or plastic. |
