For instance, operation of blades 18 at a speed of 15,000 r.p.m. in combination with heat input allows whole raw potatoes to be mashed and cooked in eight minutes, and apple sauce may be similarly made in six minutes. The top part of the bowl is of glass or plastics and has a deflecting rib 54. The blades 18 comprise a pair of substantially horizontal blades 134 and a pair of substantially vertical blades 136 (Fig. 8, not shown), all with chamfered front edges and a positive rake. |
