METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING CALL PROGRESS TONE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for detecting a call progress tone is provided to perform an additional function such as an automatic redialing using a call progress tone by detecting a fax tone or a modem tone. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor receives a code(100). The microprocessor judges whether the code is a DTMF code(110). In case that the code is the DTMF code, the microprocessor processes the DTMF code(160). In case that the code isn't the DTMF code, the microprocessor reforms the code(130). The microprocessor measures the cadence of the code inputted(140). The microprocessor performs a CPT judgement.
