PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a color filter for liquid crystal displays is provided to reduce resistance, form a color layer not having a layer difference, and increase surface smoothness by forming a transparent conductive layer and a black matrix successively and contacting them each other electrically. CONSTITUTION: High molecular resin is applied on a transfer sheet(9) to form an alignment layer(6). A transparent conductive layer(5) and a black matrix(2) are successively formed on the alignment layer(6) in a sputtering method or a vacuum deposition method. Then the black matrix(2) is etched so that a pattern can be formed. A color layer(3) is formed on the black matrix(2) to form a transfer part(10). When the transfer part(10) is transferred by a transparent substrate(1) on which an adhesive(7) is applied, a color filter is manufactured as the transfer part(10) is separated from the transfer sheet(9) and attached to the transparent substrate(1).
