摘要 PURPOSE: A method for searching a triangle with a location of an object moving a terrain represented as a triangular grid is provided to perform a terrain following process by dividing correspondent terrain into meshes of a triangular structure. CONSTITUTION: Information for a triangle including a current location of an object is received(202). A proximate vertex of vertexes of the triangle is detected from the received information for the triangle(204,206). The next location of the object is estimated on the basis of a current speed and direction of the object(208,210). A candidate triangle is selected by using the detected proximate vertex(212). A side discriminating process is performed to detect the candidate triangle(214-218). A search completion command is checked if the candidate triangle is detected(220,222). The candidate triangle is decided as the current triangle if the candidate triangle is not detected(224,226,222). The above processes are repeatedly performed.
