PURPOSE: A permanent magnet type motor is provided to realize the uniform magnetic flux distribution of a rotor to reduce the magnetic flux loss on a particular portion, shorten the length of magnetic path to reduce magnetic resistance and generate strong torque with same current, and reduce leakage flux to enhance the efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An exciting coil is wound on slots of a stator. A rotor press fitting hole(61) is formed in the center of a rotor iron plate(75). Permanent magnets are forcedly fitted into a plurality of permanent magnet burying holes(62,69) of V shape, which are symmetrically disposed about a rotation center of the rotor iron plate(75). The corner of the V shape is oriented toward the rotation center. In addition, respective magnetic flux leakage preventing portions(71) are formed on an outer surface of the rotor in the boundary between two V shapes composed of two permanent magnets.
