PURPOSE: A cooling device for a battery is provided to improve capacities of the battery by modifying the shape of a cooling pin, and thereby expanding a radiation area and maximizing cooling effect. CONSTITUTION: The cooling device for a battery is characterized that cooling pins are positioned at the front and rear end of a cell module so as to cool down heat generated from the cell module that has a rectangular shape connecting a plurality of cells in series. The cooling pin consists of a main body that is in a contact with the front and read end of the cell module to absorb the heat therefrom, and a first projection that is placed at a designated space from one side of the main body in order to radiate and cool the heat of the main body, where the heat being transferred from the cell module.
