OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTION LOSS VALUATION METHOD BY OPTICAL FIBER CABLE MEASURING INSTRUMENT SINGLE DIRECTION MEASURING METHOD

PURPOSE: An optical fiber connection loss valuation method by an optical fiber cable measuring instrument single direction measuring method is provided to correct single directional connection loss using values corresponding to structural parameters generating rear scattering. CONSTITUTION: Values corresponding to structural parameters of the optical fiber generating rear scattering are calculated by analyzing the rear scattering and optical power detected in the optical fiber and optical fiber connection points in a first step. Then, the connection loss is measured in measurement points after an optical fiber core connecting process in a second step. Next, connection loss correction values are calculated by adapting values calculated in the first step to the loss value calculated in the second step. Finally, the calculated connection loss correction values are compared with a reference value to determine the completion of the connection process.
