PURPOSE: A gear sleeve assembly of a speedometer is provided to reduce the number of components and a raw cost by integrating a clutch and a housing. CONSTITUTION: An assembly for the gear sleeve of a speedometer comprises a speedometer gear sleeve(11) integrated with a clutch housing(9); a rotating shaft(13) inserted into the speedometer gear sleeve; and a speedometer plastic gear(15) fixed to one end of the rotating shaft. Herein, the speedometer plastic gear is not separated from the rotating shaft by a snap ring(17). A differential device contains a differential drive gear engaged with a transfer drive gear; a differential case fixed to the differential drive gear; and a differential gear assembly held in the differential case. The speedometer gear sleeve is formed on the outer circumference of the differential case and with the clutch housing. Then, the differential drive gear is rotated according to the rotation of the transfer drive gear and the differential case is rotated to rotate the speedometer plastic gear. Thus, a speedometer cable is rotated with the speedometer plastic gear to indicate speed.
