PURPOSE: A locking release device for a seat belt is provided to look at the rear conveniently by releasing a seat belt in backward movement. CONSTITUTION: A seat belt release device is composed of a back switch(SW1), a backup light(10), a relay switching unit(20), a solenoid valve(30), an operating rod(40) and a bearing(50). The back switch supplies power to the backup light and the relay switching unit in operating a reverse gear. The backup light indicates the backward movement of a vehicle according to power supplied in switching the back switch. The relay switching unit operates to drive the solenoid valve according to the power in switching the back switch. The solenoid valve is driven according to operation of the relay switching unit. The back switch supplies the power to the backup light and the relay switching unit with switching on according to the backward movement of the vehicle. The backup light alarms the vehicle backward movement by operating according to the power.
