PURPOSE: An installation structure for the speed gear of a manual transmission is provided to enhance the durability of the speed gear by reducing frictional force between the speed gear and a bearing depending on a load in the rear side of the speed gear and to prevent a gear pitching and a noise by preventing the speed gear from being moved in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION: On operating a gear lever, a synchronizer(5) transmits power to a clutch gear(11) from an input shaft(1) through a hub(7). Then, a speed gear(9) fixed to the clutch gear is driven with the support of a bearing(13) to transmit power of an engine to the other speed gear. A rolling frictional portion(19) of the speed gear is frictionized with the bearing and a sliding frictional portion(21) is frictionized with a flange(17) of a gear sleeve(15). The sliding frictional portion supports a load leaning to the rear portion of a central gear tooth to prevent a gear pitching. An oil hole(21) of the sliding frictional portion collects oil to lubricate the speed gear. Thus, the load in the rear portion of the central gear tooth is absorbed due to sliding friction.
