PURPOSE: A washing tub is provided to prevent a re-pollution of the laundry by continuously sterilizing yellow staphylococci and colon bacilli in the laundry. CONSTITUTION: Cr of 17wt% is mixed with powdered Fe of 81wt%. C of 0.01wt%, Si of 0.28wt%, Mn of 0.2wt% and N of 0.01wt% are added therein. Cu of 1.5wt% is mixed as a sterilizing agent. The mixed material is formed by heating. A washing tub(2) is formed by processing after cooling. Foreign substances, polluted materials, yellow staphylococci and colon bacilli are separated from the laundry during a washing. In contacting washing water with a surface of the washing tub(2), Cu¬2+ is generated. The Cu¬2+ sterilizes by strongly absorbing bacteria.
