PURPOSE: A method for controlling a DS1/DS1E-ATM cell bus access unit is provided to control and inspect DS1/DS1E dedicated lines, wherein DS1/DS1E signals are inputted and outputted, and an FLC-C(Fiber Loop Carrier-Curb) system which uses an ATM-based communication method. CONSTITUTION: Information about the ID and ports of a DS1/DS1E-ATM cell bus access unit is collected(S501). A line interface unit, an ATM cell processing unit and an OAM cell processing unit are initialized by default values(S502). Initialization associated information is reported to an MCU(S503). The MCU initializes each unit again using reported information(S504). It is checked whether an error is generated. In case that an error is generated, an alarm message is reported to the MCU(S505). If there is no error generated, an interrupt vector and an interrupt service routine are registered(S506). A communication queue to transmit and receive execution results or necessary information between each process is generated(S507). Each process is generated(S508).
