PURPOSE: A method for monitoring a video recording of a camcorder is provided to notify a user that a recording isn't normally performed in the course of recording by regarding a recording as abnormal in case that time code data are abnormal, and by outputting an alarm message for stopping the recording. CONSTITUTION: Time code data are read at regular time intervals in the course of recording(S10). It is judged whether the time code data are corresponded to a present time in the range of error setup(S20). In case that the time code data are corresponded to the present time, a recording is continuously proceeded(S30). In case that the time code data aren't corresponded to the present time, the recording is discontinued, and an alarm message is outputted(S40).
