PURPOSE: A measuring apparatus of oil remaining in a piston ring groove is provided to reduce time and costs by individually testing in various conditions, and to improve reliability of measured data. CONSTITUTION: A remaining oil amount measuring device comprises a test box(10) having a transparent film in the front, and a chamber(12) to keep the same temperature as the temperature in an engine cylinder; a test piece supporting bar inclined in the bottom of the test box having a heater(21a) to provide heat inside at operating a piston; a test sample(30) made of the same material as the piston material, temperature-adjusted by the heater, and installed on the test piece supporting bar; an oil leak pipe(40) supplying oil to the test sample in the test box; first and second controllers(50,51) regulating leakage of the oil leak pipe, and adjusting temperatures of the chamber and the heater out of the test box; and a display(60) outputting the data from first and second controllers.
