PURPOSE: An automatic transmission is provided to make electric equipments compact and to reduce the number of components by eliminating a rear cover and directly combining an end clutch cover with a transmission case. CONSTITUTION: An automatic transmission consists of first, second and third transmission shafts(7,15,17) receiving drive force from an engine; a transmission case(1) embedding the transmission changing an engine rpm(revolutions per minute) and engine torque with each frictional factor; and an end clutch cover(3) directly combined to the transmission case in the opposite side of a torque converter. An end clutch(13) transmits or intercepts drive force from the first transmission shaft to the second transmission shaft. The third transmission shaft transmits drive power to a power transmitting gear(19) due to the clutch action of frictional factors. The power transmitting gear is driven with the support of a rolling device(25) between the transmission case and the power transmitting gear. At that time, a rear cover and an O-ring are eliminated between the transmission case and the end clutch cover so that the transmission is easily assembled and the electric equipments of the transmission become compact.
