PURPOSE: Impact dispersing structure of a vehicle bumper is provided to absorb the shock by bending the corresponding bumper stay inward, and to restrict unbalanced deformation of a bumper beam at unbalanced impact. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber of a vehicle bumper is composed of a cylinder member(1) fixed in a bumper cover(BC) to penetrate a bumper beam(BB), and coupling pieces(3) connected to a bumper stay(BS) and the cylinder member. The coupling portion(2) of the cylinder member(1) precedes the portion(4) of the bumper stay. The cylinder member fixed in the bumper cover pushes the portion of the coupling piece back in applying unbalanced impact load to the bumper. The bumper stay is bent outward to absorb the shock by pushing the portion of the bumper stay outward. The bumper beam is not deformed or damaged owing to not transmitting the impact to the bumper beam.
