PURPOSE: A lamp compensation and a self diagnostic circuit for a liquid crystal display is provided to compensate for a degree of bright by having a compensating part and a testing part. CONSTITUTION: A control part(10) generates an oscillation signal according to the driving signal(S1) which is inputted as the power supply. A driving part(20) is driven by the oscillation signal generating from the control part(10). A transformer(T1) outputs a high-voltage of the second coil from a voltage of the first coil by means of the driving conduct of the driving part(20). A lamps(L1,L2) switch ON/OFF by the high-voltage introducing from the second coil in the transformer(T1). A lamp compensation part(30) is compensated by a state of the lamps(L1,L2). The lamp compensation part(30) includes an AC/DC convertor(31) and a switching part(32). A lamp self diagnostic part(40) includes a comparator(41,42) and a fluorescent diodes(LED1,LED2).
