PURPOSE: A method for automatically registering a confirmation tone for an extension state of an automatic transmission system is provided to reduce a time and an error by directly confirming the period of the signal tone provided from a main device, and by automatically registering the period. CONSTITUTION: A CPU senses a call signal through a line interface unit and a ring detection unit(101). The CPU forms a loop(102). The CPU transmits a response message to a call side(103). The CPU checks whether an extension registration program code is inputted(104). In case that the code isn't inputted, a relevant function is performed(105). The CPU checks whether an extension number is inputted(106). The CPU registers the extension number(107). The CPU whether a start code for automatically confirming a signal tone is inputted(108). The CPU whether a function for automatically confirming all sorts of signal tones is performed(109). In case that a program termination code is inputted, the CPU terminates an automatic registration function(110).
