PURPOSE: A method for searching for a re-setup channel in a radio communication system is provided to search for a re-setup channel more rapidly in a radio communication system. CONSTITUTION: In case that a channel re-setup request is generated, a CFP(Cordless Fixed Part) checks whether a channel registered in a re-setup channel list exists(51). If a registered channel exists, the CFP marks the channel with a Y channel(52). After deleting the registered channel from the re-setup channel list, the CFP attempts data detection. The CFP judges whether data for the selected Y channel are detected(53). In case that it is judged that the data are detected, the CFP analyzes the contents of the data. The CFP checks whether the contents of the data for the selected Y channel are an LID(Link ID) to indicate re-setup(54). If the contents of the data are interpreted as the re-setup data, the CFP executes a re-setup operation in response to it.
