5-AXES FREE CURVE WORKING METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for processing a five-shaft free curved surface is provided to economically process the five-shaft free curved surface by using a three-shaft numerical control machine tool and an indexing table. CONSTITUTION: In a fixed state of a workpiece to be processed on an indexing table, a five-shaft curved surface model is inputted to a computer. A setup posture information of the indexing table and processing control information of a three-shaft numerical control machine tool are generated. The setup posture information is used for an operator to manually adjust posture of the indexing table. The processing control information is downloaded to a control unit in a G-code type. Thus, the three-shaft numerical control machine tool performs processing operation corresponding to each setup postures according to the processing control information transferred from the computer.
