PURPOSE: A wind noise source detector is provided to cut down costs by detecting wind noise conveniently regardless of the vehicle state. CONSTITUTION: A detecting apparatus of wind noise comprises a pressure gauge(7) and a valve(5) regulating injection speed of air injected by a nozzle(3) via an air line; a microphone(9) detecting noise by contacting the nozzle injecting air to the estimated noise source; a recorder(11) converting an analog signal detected by the microphone into a digital signal and storing the data; and a frequency analyzer(13) detecting the noise source by analyzing frequency with the signal stored in the recorder. The pressure gauge and the valve are controlled to identify air injected by the nozzle with flow in a vehicle body during traveling. The analog signal is transmitted to the recorder with operating wind noise on the microphone as noise in traveling. The recorder converts the analog signal into the digital signal, and stores the data. The frequency analyzer connected to the recorder detects the wind noise source by analyzing frequency.
