PURPOSE: A fuel device is provided to enhance working efficiency by easily discharging air included in a fuel supply circuit after maintaining a fuel system for a diesel engine. CONSTITUTION: A fuel device injects fuel(3) from a nozzle(9) by the drive of a feed pump(5) and an injection pump(7). The feed pump pumps fuel to the injection pump through a supply line(13) and the injection pump feeds fuel to the nozzle. A fuel filter(14) is formed in the supply line to filter impurities in fuel. Residual fuel is returned to a fuel tank(1) through a return line(15). A two-way valve(17) is formed in one side of the fuel tank. Furthermore, the fuel device contains an air bleeding system consisting of a pumping device and a valve device. The pumping device comprises an air bleeding pump(21) controlled by an on/off switch while separated from the feed pump. The valve device feeds fuel to the feed pump, the supply line and the return line and discharges air through the two-way valve in the fuel tank, with a first and a second solenoid valve(23,25). When the on/off switch is turned on, the first and the second solenoid valve are turned on to drive the air bleeding pump. Then, fuel is forcibly fed to a suction line(11) to return to the fuel tank. In this process, air included in fuel is discharged through the two-way valve.
