<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide client/server-type information access method/system supporting the grasping of information of a user by means of displaying multimedia information on expression associating physical book, paper and card by transferring optimum information to the environment of a client from a server through the use of information on the environment of the client displaying information at the time of displaying it on the client and to provide a storage medium storing a client/server-type information access program. SOLUTION: In the method, retrieval information which a user designates is transmitted to a server, plural candidate information lists containing display environment information are requested, plural candidate information lists sent from the server are obtained, display environment information of the plural obtained candidate information lists are compared with display environment information of a self-terminal, candidate information matched with display environment information of the self-terminal is selected, selected candidate information is transmitted to the server, pertinent display information is requested, display information against selected candidate information is obtained from the server and display information is displayed on a display in a client.</p> |
