ELECTRIC CONNECTOR FOR PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new, improved electric connector having a tail alignment fixture in the electric connector to be mounted on the surface of a printed circuit board. SOLUTION: This electric connector 10 can be mounted on the surface of a printed circuit board. The connector has a slender insulating housing having a fitting front 16a and rear, and a central body containing a plurality of terminal accepting paths extending to between the front and the rear. A plurality of terminals 20 are accepted in the accepting paths. Each terminal has a front contact part 21 and a tail part 22 projecting from the central body part to the rear across the rear surface. The tail part 22 contains a perpendicular end part for mounting on the printed circuit board. A slender tail alignment fixture is separated from the rear surface of the housing and fixed to the housing 12. The tail alignment fixture contains a plurality of holes from which the tail part 22 of the terminal 20 is extended.
