PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reader which can prevent its tilting to significantly evade the reading errors for the manual read scanning of an optically readable code image and also enables even an infant etc., to easily read the code image by skillfully placing a control switch. SOLUTION: A power switch 104, a volume switch 105, a read opening part 103 where a code image is optically read and a tilting prevention part 101 which prevents the tilting of a code reader when the code image is read are provided on the bottom surface of a code reader casing which touches a recording medium. |
