PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost without changing reliability improvement and operability by using an intelligence module which performs image data processing and storage of a component picking up an image and a component forming an image. SOLUTION: When an image component 5 is a component that picks up an image, an image data memory 45 that is different from a characteristic ROM 43 that stores image data obtained from a CCD image head is provided. This kind of image data memory 45 is not needed for a component that performs image formation like a printer. When the image component 5 is also provided with a microprocessor 25 for operating a zoom lens and a flash, software for the characteristic ROM 43 instructs how to match an intelligence module 3. And, the interface of the image component 5 connects mutual connecting parts through an interface together with the intelligence module 3, feeds power from a power supply 41 and supplies a program instruction from the ROM 43 to the module 3.
