PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent deformation of an elastic wire to be electrically connected to a charging battery pack even if the charging battery pack having an electrode terminal on the side surface is inclined, to reduce contact failure. SOLUTION: A charger charges a secondary battery of a charging battery pack 1 by fitting the charging battery pack 1 having an electrode terminal 2 on the side surface to a fitting part 4 of a case 3, and connecting an elastic wire 5 to the electrode terminal 2. The charger has an electrode window 6 extending in the side slippage direction where the electrode terminal 2 moves when the charging battery pack 1 is inclined in the fitting part 4. The elastic wire 5 has a contact projection 5A for coming in contact with the electrode terminal 2 of the charging battery pack 1 at the tip. The contact projection 5A is exposed to the outside from the electrode window 6 and extended in the attaching/detaching direction of the charging battery pack 1. The elastic wire 5 has a side slippage elastic deforming part 5C for elastically deforming the contact projection 5A in the side slippage direction along the electrode window 6 between a fixed part 5B and the contact projection 5A, and when the charging battery pack 1 is inclined, the side slippage elastic deforming part 5C is elastically deformed. |
