PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve power addition efficiency by preventing more than a required current consumption when transmission output level is low. SOLUTION: In addition to a route A for guiding a transmission signal amplified by a preamplifier 3 via a power amplifier 5 to a duplexer 8, a route B (bypass route) can be constituted for guiding the transmission signal to the duplexer 8, by bypassing the preamplifier 3, and these routes A and B can be selected by a selector 4 and a switch 10. Then, a control part 20 monitors whether or not the transmission output level detected by detectors 16 and 17 and a selector 18 is lower than a prescribed reference level. When the transmission output level is lower than the prescribed reference level, the routs B is selected, the power amplifier 5 is bypassed and power supply to the power amplifier 5 is turned off.
