PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head device capable of thinning the thickness of a recording and/or reproducing device such as a magnetic disk device and also effectively preventing the damage of a wire constituting a coil of a magnetic head element. SOLUTION: In this magnetic head device 100, a flexible wiring board 124 is attached so that the one end side is straddled over projecting parts 187 of a spacer 181 and tip parts of supporting arms 102, 103, and one end side of the wire constituting the coil provided in the magnetic head part 105 is connected to terminal areas 127 arranged at the part of this flexible wiring board 124 positioned on the projecting parts 187 of the spacer 181.
