摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiency and quickly quantify nitrogen and to simultaneously process and quantify many kinds of samples by colorimetrically quantifying the ammonium ion quantity in a sample solution after a reaction. SOLUTION: The prescribed quantity of a sample is put in a container 12, prescribed quantities of a decomposition accelerator and a decomposition are added, and the container 12 is sealed by a sealing means 11. The prescribed number of containers 12 containing sample solutions are set on a holding means 13, a cooling means 14 is set above them, then a heating means, a stirring means and the cooling means 14 are operated. The sample solution at the lower section of the container 12, heated in the stirred state to promote a reaction, and the steam generated by heating is cooled at the upper sections of the container 12 and flows down to the lower section of the container 12. After the reaction by a reaction device is completed, alkali is added into the container 12 for neutralization, the solution quantity is set to the prescribed quantity, it is diluted at the prescribed magnifying power, then a coloring reagent is added, and the ammonia quantity in the sample solution, i.e., the nitrogen quantity in the sample, is determined via a series of actions for quantifying the quantity of ammonium ions from a calibration curve by the standard solution by using a colorimeter.
