PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for forming an image without causing an incomplete cleaning even when a spherical toner is used. SOLUTION: An image is formed through an electrifying step, a latent image forming step, a developing step, a transferring step and a cleaning step in which a residual toner after image transfer is recovered with a cleaning blade. The developer used in the developing step contains a spherical carrier, a spherical toner and an additive having 1-8 μm volume average particle diameter, a shape factor SF-1 of >140 and a shape factor SF-2 of >130. The additive occupies 0.5-15% on the basis of the carrier volume at the beginning of image formation. |
