IC CARD READING METHOD USING CONTACTLESS IC CARD READER AND WRITER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the security and response for the IC card reading method using a contactless IC card reader/writer and also to improve the versatility of the reading method for its users. SOLUTION: The information stored in an IC card 2 are read by a contactless IC card reader/writer 1 which is connected to a host machine 3 via a communication line 4. In this reading method, the information on a designated sector is read among those information stored in the card 2 and sent to the machine 3 based on a command given from the machine 3 which designates the read waiting sectors when the reader/writer 1 detects that the card 2 entered an antenna field 5.
