PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric resonator for preventing the mounting position from being dispersed for each product in the case of mounting a circuit board on a dielectric substrate while preventing an unrequired mode generated on the dielectric substrate from being radiated to the outside of the dielectric substrate. SOLUTION: This dielectric resonator 10 is provided with the dielectric substrate 21 for which an electrode 22 is formed on two main surfaces facing each other, an opening 23 formed at the electrode 22 of the two main surfaces, a side face electrode 24 formed on four side faces other than the two main surfaces of the dielectric substrate 21, a metallic casing 11 and an upper cover 15. In this case, the side face electrode 24 is formed on the entire side peripheral surface excluding the boundary part of the side face and two main surfaces of the dielectric substrate 21.
