PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in brightness or uneven brightness from occurring on a backlight device due to adhesion of gas components of flux, etc., to a light transmission member, relating to a backlight device. SOLUTION: Even when gas components like flux, etc., enter a holder 10a through a parts insertion hole 7a for a printed circuit board 7 in a flow soldering process, the gas components like flux, etc., are relieved outside through vent holes 10a of a holder 10 by providing the holder 10 with the vent holes 10a, therefore, the possibility that the gas components like flux, etc., adheres to a light transmission member 8 becomes extremely low, and thus, it is possible to prevent reduction in brightness or uneven brightness from occurring in the backlight device.
