PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct variation of a detected current with a temperature by utilizing a temperature sensor by correcting a current value detected by a current detecting element according to the temperature detected by the temperature sensor. SOLUTION: A current detector 13 detects the current of a motor 10 used to drive a robot, etc. A storage part 21 is stored with a correction value conversion table for finding correction values at respective temperatures from previously measured temperature characteristics of the current detector 13. A comparator 150 finds the correction value corresponding to the temperature obtained by the temperature sensor 19 through the storage part 21 and performs control so as to cancel variation of the measured current due to temperature variation. Namely, the temperature of the current detector 13 is measured by the temperature sensor 19 to correct the current detection error due to the temperature variation. Consequently, the current which needs to be precise can be controlled even by using a relatively inexpensive Hall element(HCT) and a magneto- resistance element(MR element) as the current detection sensor.
