Superconductor inserted into metal tube coated with metal oxide suspension prior to coiling and heating

A superconducting wire is formed by inserting a superconducting base material into a metal tube. The tube is then coiled so that one part of the tube outer surface contacts another part of the tube's outer surface. The tube is then heated to a temperature close to the melting point of the metal tube to form the superconducting material. Before coiling, the tube is coated with a liquid containing a suspension of metal oxide particles. The liquid burns or evaporates completely when the tube is heated, the particles having a melting point higher than that of the metal tube.
