PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a problem which occurs in a blade and, further, to shorten job time required for replacement, by controlling an image carrier and a developing means so that toner is attached to the image carrier when a device judges that replacement is necessary. SOLUTION: When a copy job is finished with a blade-replacement necessity judgment circuit 13b judging that blade replacement is necessary, a main control circuit 13c turns on a toner attachment signal. At the same time as it, the supply of drive by a drum drive motor 40 is stopped, therefore the drive of the photoreceptor 2 is turned off, and the photoreceptor 2 starts idle rotation, gradually decelerates, and stops. Positive charges by an electrification electrode 3 are not applied to the idly rotating photoreceptor 2 after the erasure/ uniformization of residual potential by electrification exposure part 12. However, toner is positively charged by stir in a developing unit 5, therefore by applying a development bias to a sleeve 5a, the toner is attached to the surface of the photoreceptor 2 even with no positive charges applied to the photoreceptor 2. |
