MANUFACTURE OF PHOTOELECTRIC SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity of a photoelectric switch so as to reduce the manufacturing cost of the switch by producing multiple switches at once by dividing an integrated assemblage which is formed by sticking first and second molded bodies to each other, by superimposing the upper surfaces of the first and second bodies upon another so that slits formed on the upper surfaces may be aligned with each other through a prescribed gap into photoelectric switches each containing one light emitting device and one light receiving device. SOLUTION: A first assembly 17 is constituted by bonding a first molded body 15 to a first assembly substrate 11A in a state where a sealing resin on the substrate 11A is housed in the first housing section 5 of the molded body 15 through a bonding process for bonding the molded body 15 to the substrate 11A and an assembling process for assembling a plunger and a coil spring. Then an integrated assembly 19 is constituted by bonding a second assembly 18 to the first assembly 17 in which the plunger and coil spring are assembled by superposing the upper surfaces of the bodies 17 and 18 upon another, so that the slit widows of the assemblies 17 and 18 may be aligned with each other. In a dicing process, the assembly 19 is divided into photoelectric switches each containing one light emitting device 3 and one light receiving device 4 by cutting the assemblage 19 into the switches along cut lines drawn in both X- and Y-directions.
