摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, to relieve discomfort of a patient and to further make an ultrasonic probe strong against impacts from the outside by making the width of a wiring board for drawing a signal electrode and a grounding board narrower than the width of a backing material with linearly or roundly chamferred corners, exposing the chamferred corner parts and making the corners of a casing round. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic probe is constituted of strip-shaped piezoelectric body 108, a grounding electrode 107 on its surface and a signal electrode 106 on its rear surface, a backing material 105 with a width W(105) is provided on the rear side of plural vibrators 101 which are arranged in parallel. A flexible wiring board 102 with a width W(102) for drawing the signal electrode is connected with the signal electrode 106, provided along the side of the backing material 105, and a grounding board 103 with width W(103) is provided on the wiring board 102. The relation among respective kinds of widths is set at width W(105) > the width W(102) > the width W(103), the corners of the backing material 105 are roundly or linearly chamferred, and the corners of the casing to cover the tip of the backing material 105 is formed into a gradual shape. Thus, miniaturization of the ultrasonic probe and operability are enhanced.
