PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of enlarging a strobe-photographing range in accordance with the kind of an interchangeable lens mounted on the camera, and also, accomplishing the miniaturization of the camera body. SOLUTION: A strobe charging/discharging capacitor 25 incorporated in the camera body 10 (hereafter, referred to as capacitor incorporated in a camera) is provided with a capacity necessary for accomplishing a guide number (for example, GN8) suitable when a standard lens 14 is in use. Strobe charging/ discharging capacitors 26 and 28 corresponding to each lens specification of interchangeable lenses 16 and 18 are incorporated in the main bodies of the interchangeable lenses 16 and 18 (hereafter, referred to as a capacitor incorporated in a lens). When the interchangeable lens 16 (or 18) is mounted on the camera body 10, the capacitor incorporated in the camera 25 is connected to the capacitor incorporated in the lens 26 (or 28) in parallel. Besides, it is allowed to omit the capacitor 25.
